Located at Barnsdall Park, students can visit both the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and Hollyhock House, a cultural landmark designed by Architect Frank Lloyd Wright
The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG), the City's flagship exhibition space, is managed by the Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA). The 10,000 square foot gallery, located in Hollywood, has been central to the growth of Los Angeles as an international art capital. Admission to the LAMAG is free. The Gallery is open year-round except for official City holidays. Visitors will experience a wide variety of contemporary 3-D and 2-D artworks created by Artists, Architects, Performers and Literary Artists from the Los Angeles region, the country, and the world. The artworks utilize various materials - from traditional to new genres, media and technologies. The LAMAG Education Program welcomes the public and families with children of all ages to participate in our free Family Art Workshops, and free School Visit Program for Teachers and students.
